 About the band

Uninvited Guests have been in existence for over 20 years and as with all bands there have been various line-ups, the current line-up is Dave Abbott, Steve Lally, Ed Bousfield and Paul Dean.

Drawing from a wide variety of musical influences: Bad Company, Neil Young, Jethro Tull, Credence Clearwater Revival, Richard Thompson, Santana, Chuck Berry, Van Morrison, Thin Lizzy,

Joe Cocker......... to name but a few.

Steve Lally

Yes he does have problems working out which orifice to smoke a cigarette through but he is a multi-instrumentalist and a first rate lead vocalist.

Steve has performed with bands and as a solo artist. Currently he is running an acoustic night on Thursday evenings at The Finger Post in Offerton, Stockport. He teaches Mandolin and guitar.

For years and years (well since Adam was a lad) Steve has worked in the musical instrument business, selling instruments, amps, PA systems, lighting etc. He runs an instrument set up and repair business - see the 'contact us' page for a link to his website.

Dave Abbott

Without Dave there would be no Uninvited Guests he is the force behind the band. O.K admitidly all his paperwork is done in big red crayon and he's not allowed sharp objects, but his years of experience playing the drums have made him the steady beat that holds the band together. He also plays a mean harmonica and his vocals add depth to the bands sound.

Ed Bousfield

A lead guitarist given to displays of understated but brilliant bursts of magic using only a chunk of wood and six strings. Much of the musical arrangement for the band is done by Ed.

The only member of the band to have retired from the daily grind of work ..... (he looks good for 92). With his many holidays he is now concentrating on getting his permatan to a level that will outdo David Dickinson. That or Dark Oak as seen on the Ronseal shade chart.

Paul Dean

'Can you play bass guitar?'

'I don't know'

'Well borrow one and have a go you've got 8 weeks to learn 30 songs'

Nearly 2 years later the band still haven't realised he still can't play it, but he now drowns it out by doing some lead and backing singing.

It's Sooty.... who stands in for Dave sometimes.

Tracey Dean

Brewing up, supplier of biscuits, roadie, knob twiddler (sound engineer) and now website designer and publicist.

Artist - you can tell by the Salavidor Dali 'tash.
